Local Artist Christiane Grauert, who teaches as a Professor of Illustration at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig, Germany and received her M.F.A. in Visual Studies from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Her mixed-media images have appeared nationally and internationally in numerous publications, on book covers and posters, as well as in textbooks and children's books and have been featured in various national and international illustration and design competitions.
