DRIFT’s Dandelight, crafted from real dandelion seeds, connects the viewer to nature in a meaningful way.
This unique art piece is inspired by labor-intensive processes that reflect the fragility of life, offering a counterpoint to today’s throwaway culture. The sculpture features dandelion seeds handpicked each spring in the Netherlands, meticulously connected to LEDs, one by one, to create a soft and elegant glow. It is a poetic composition that brings character and warmth to any home setting.
The Dandelight with dome is powered by an electrical cable, not batteries, and includes a switch for easy on/off control. The piece is encased in a handblown glass dome atop a concrete/polymer base, combining art and craftsmanship in a striking design.
